i didn’t realize engagement photos were a thing people did! these are awesome pictures, really. very chicagoy! most of the poses are pretty natural, too. 
The pictures of couples that you see in small town papers that are announcing engagements or weddings are usually engagement photos. While Tom and I aren’t doing announcements in small town newspapers (regardless of what my mom would like for us to do) we wanted some professional pictures of us not in wedding garb. That and our awesome photographer offered it up as a package option. I heart them
